Robert Otwinowski

musican and composer. Born in Poland but now he lives in UK permanently. He improved his musical skills under the guidance of the best guitar players in the Country such as Marek Napiorkowski, Artur Lesicki, Jarek Smietana. In 1998 he was awarded out of 160 bands with the 2 nd prize by one of the most important music magazine in Poland “Guitar & Bas” on ‘’Festival Music and Show ‘’ in JAZZ/BLUES category. Between 2000 and 2001 he was the finalist of Master Competition of Jazz Guitar players ‘’Guitar City’’ in Warsaw twice.

OtwinGroup

Jazz formation was brought to life by Robert Otwinowski in November 1999. In fact ‘’OtwinGroup’’ and Robert Otwinowski is the same, but during this project there was plenty of excellent artists and musicans who was a part of this project, such as:

Cezary Konrad – one of the best Polish drummers (chosen and awarded by ‘’Jazz Forum’’ magazine year after year). He was also cooperating with f.e. Anna Maria Jopek, Pat Metheny, Krzysztof Herdzin - one of the most outstanding pianists, awarded in many contests, in and outside the country, also a very appreciated sideman), Jan Smoczynski - ‘’musical genius of young generation’’ , working with Urszula Dudziak and Michal Urbaniak), Wojtek Pulcyn and Michal Jaros - doublebassists, Piotr Wojtasik - master of trumpet, Maciej Sikala one of the best polish saxofonist and Jaro Minta - saxofonist who is a graduate of one of the best European universities distinctive personality of Berlin Jazz Stage.
